Low Impact Development Inc. engineers have vast experience with preparation of LID/SUSMP plans for projects located in the City of Los Angeles. We prepare and process plans with the Sanitation Department Division of Watershed Protection. We are well versed in all current requirements and are able to provide designs that will require minimal plan checks and often do not exceed one plan check prior to final clearance submittal.
In order to streamline the process and help clients help us deliver quick results, we do encourage our involvement in the very early stages of design. It is crucial to know what the stormwater compliance requirements will be even before the architect starts drafting the design. In our experience, often clients are faced with revisions to their original plans because there is not enough planting area or stormwater requirements were not taken into consideration when planning the site. That causes delays and, ultimately, increases design costs.
We are available to discuss you project and provide you with a cost proposal for the preparation of LID/SUSMP plans. There is a nominal fee for providing a pre-design evaluation of the site, but it is a fraction of what design changes will cost once the site is fully planned out.
